Tour 1: Glaciers, Geology and the Flood
Northern Kettle Moraine / Sheboygan County
Available in September and October.
This tour covers almost seventy miles of one of the most beautiful and unusual land features in Wisconsin. The day includes a car caravan visit to twelve different stops of historical or geological interest, and discovery of how early pioneers met the challenges of life in the mid-1800s with body and mind. Each person will appreciate the importance of water-powered mills and the significance of church buildings to Sheboygan Countys first settlers. Along with taking a fresh look at history, the tour will reveal the true story of how glaciers, kames, kettles, moraines, and eskers were formed following the Genesis Flood. In addition to a stop at the Wade House and lunch at Parnell Tower, the tour includes frequent illustrations that teach everyone how to compare a secular interpretation of science to Biblical revelation. No Kettle Moraine tour is like this one.
Tour 2: "Creation Tour of the Milwaukee Museum" and "Urban Architecture"
Milwaukee Public Museum and east Wisconsin Avenue
Available September through June.
This is really two tours in one. The day begins with a visit to one of Americas great natural history museums with a creationist guide in charge. Each person will (1) discover how a Costa Rican rain forest abounds with examples of God's design (2) see how DNA and structural similarities illustrate one Creator and (3) learn how geology and dinosaurs support the Genesis account of Creation and the Flood. A brief review of human settlement in Wisconsin will also show how its woodlands and wetlands were used in early years.
The tour is directed to help build each persons confidence in Scriptural truth. Participants will next proceed along Wisconsin Avenue and experience the rich history and architectural progress of the heart of Milwaukee. The day is a showcase of the creative works of both God and man. Participants pay their own museum admission.
Tour 3: Land Stewardship and Spring
Kohler-Andrae State Park and other nearby points of natural and historic interest.
Available in May and June.
Enjoy the beauty of the Lake Michigan shoreline and observe demonstrations of Biblical land stewardship in public and private property. Discover how God's natural laws teach lessons of faith and care. This tour starts at Indian Mound Park in Sheboygan where outstanding examples of effigy mounds remain preserved. Next, the tour stops at Kohler-Andrae State Park to observe sand dunes in a rare state natural area along with an expansive stand of majestic white pines. God's hand in human and natural history is considered further through a visit to the early Dutch settlement of Amsterdam on the Lake Michigan shore. The tour includes a walk through a trillium woods that abounds with spring wildflowers and other examples of how God's handiwork provides both beauty and purpose. The flowers will fade but the memory of this trip will endure.
